Reflection
Once upon a time, a tortoise lived near a small pond, dreaming of adventure beyond the water's edge. Two geese, frequent visitors to the pond, befriended the tortoise and decided to help him fulfill his wish of seeing the world.
The geese devised a plan—each would hold one end of a stick with their beaks while the tortoise clamped onto the middle with his mouth. They warned him sternly, "Remember, do not open your mouth, or you will fall."
Delighted, the tortoise agreed and up they flew. As they soared over a bustling village, the curious sight of a flying tortoise caught the villagers' attention. They laughed and pointed, exclaiming, "Look at that silly tortoise!"
The tortoise's pride was pricked. Forgetting the geese's warning, he opened his mouth to retort, "Why should they laugh at me?" Instantly, he plummeted to the ground, realizing too late the consequence of his unchecked ego.
In this story, we see the dangers of letting ego override good sense. The tortoise's fall serves as a wise reminder that sometimes, maintaining silence and humility can preserve both safety and dignity.
